Mission... Uh... Tuesday?

Okay, I missed Mission Monday yesterday, but I do have a mission for you!
As we are all quite aware, the holidays are coming up. If you celebrate Christmas or Hannukah, you are probably, like me, trying to search for just the right gifts for all your friends and loved ones.
But what do you give to the person who has everything, or the person who doesn't want anything?
Here's a suggestion.
Baggage wrote about one of her favorite children's organizations, Little Wishes. You can read more about the organization in her post, if you want! Basically, Little Wishes is an organization that gives gifts to children in foster care. Foster parents get a living allowance for each child in their care, but they have to stretch it and stretch it, and often don't have a lot left over to splurge for luxuries for their foster children. Little Wishes is able to grant small wishes for kids in foster care, especially around Christmas time!
Why not grant a wish for a child in foster care? Instead of buying some obligatory gift for someone, give them a card showing that you have bought a nice gift for a child in foster care, in the person's honor!
You can search the site by price, or by gift category, to find a wish to grant. For instance, if the person you want to do this in honor of loves playing an instrument, you could purchase music lessons for a child! If your person loves sports, buy a kid some sports equipment!
You don't even have to actually go out and purchase the item. Just choose the wish you want to grant, make a donation in the appropriate amount of money, and the gift will be purchased and delivered to the child in time for Christmas!
It is my understanding that this program serves kids mostly in the Missouri area. Wouldn't it be nice if we could find a way to grant wishes for children in foster czre everywhere?
