Mission Monday: Project Linus!

Hi everyone! This week your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to make a blanket.
But blankets are hard to make, you say? You don't know how to knit or crochet, you say?
Well, neither do I, actually! But there are simpler ways to make blankets. The simplest kind of blanket I know of is the kind where you purchase the material, and then cut fringe around the edges, and knot it. The thing I like most about this type of blanket is that you get to choose from a huge variety of colors and patterns every time you make a blanket! I think this type of blanket is called a no-sew fleece blanket. and you can find instructions on how to make them all over the Internet, including here.
So why are we making these blankets?
Well, there's an organization called Project Linus, which is devoted to donating hand-made blankets to children who are ill or going through a crisis. Although we've had missions before where donors were allowed to buy blanets for children, at Project Linus it is important that the blankets be hand-made. They say they recieve many thankyou notes from children who say that they are especially thankful that a stranger took the time to actually make a blanket for them!
If you do make a blanket (or participate in any other Mission Monday) you can email me with a photo or story about what you did, and you can be featured in this blog!
Good luck!
