Special Alert: Have You Used the Ortho Evra Birth Control Patch?

This is a special alert for women who may have used the Ortho Evra birth control patch, which came out in 2001. For users of this patch, there is a risk of developing blood clots, due to excessive amounts of estrogen being delivered into the body. In fact, users of the Ortho Evra patch are three times more likely to develop a blood clot than users of birth control pills are. (This may be because, with birth control pills, the estrogen must travel through the digestive system, whereas with the patch, the hormones are delivered directly to the blood.) The danger is that the blood clot can travel to your lungs. Dozens of women have died from blood clots, while using the patch.
You may not have anything to worry about, but it is important to find out for sure! If you've used the Orthro Evra patch, you're entitled to a free case consultation by a class action lawyer. You may be entitled to financial compensation!
Good luck.
